Honestly, this is something that’s very interesting. Bungie has shown a large amount of dedication to the game and they’re obviously hinting at something big. Is it necessarily for Halo 3? Not really sure, but the blue wireframe part at the end seems to suggest that a full fledged map editor might be coming for the best-selling game which would take their committment (and innovation) to an entirely new level. Should be interesting to see what’s coming out of Kirkland.

*sigh* I thought you had further information about their next project that was going to be announced later snubbed at E3

Nope, unfortunately not. So far there’s no word of a new date to look forward to as PAX was already waved off as an announcement date. Right now, it seems like the rumor of a “HaloCon” is becoming more and more likely as Bungie stated that they wanted to try and get back to the FanFests that they had, one of which I attended the night before Halo 2’s launch.
