Seattle Seahawks, Preseason Week 1

The first of the 2008-2009 preseason games were played today, signaling the beginning of football season which will pretty much grip the US until February. I don’t want to say there were suprises or lack of surprises because honestly, preseason is more or less a joke in terms of predicting the regular season because the first couple of games are scrub games with the final game usually involving the first stringers but in a reduced capacity to avoid unneeded injuries. But regardless of my opinions, here are the scores for Seattle (Tim can edit in his part later or add a new post). (more…)

It’s been pretty clear for a while now that Brett Favre was looking to return to playing football this season, but just today the Packer’s CEO (not owner, remember, they’re owned by the city) announced that they will in fact bring Brett Favre off of the reserve/retired list to play in 2010. The team made the assumption that Favre wouldn’t be returning so Aaron Rodgers was given the starting QB position and Favre will have to challenge him to get it back. The main reason for reinstating his contract rather than let him go was to prevent him from signing with teams like Minnesota who had shown a lot of interest in him. (more…)
